There was a subreddit called HailCorporate for when people accidentally post ads that they made themselves. Like we hear so much advertising that we start internalizing it and end up basically thinking and talking in ads.
Of course it kind of typically devolved into accusations of intent, but I always thought it was a neat idea. Does life imitate art or the other way around type of thing?

I didn’t realize Siri and the cats were conspiring. Yesterday I went into the living room to investigate a ruckus and found one of my cats sitting on the couch while the home pod in the window sill was playing Mumford and Sons.
This started in 2011, when cats killed Jobs. Tim Cook is not a real person but a mere avatar operated by cats.

So for all of apple’s design faults, I genuinely think this might have been intentional because it feels like the venn diagram of Apple software engineers and cat owners is more like a circle.
I wish owning a cat got me employment as an apple SWE :/

My brain somehow didn’t grasp that I had never heard of a Homepod before, then when I saw your comment I had to think back and was like “wait a second, Siri? That’s not google or Alexa” and I had to reread to understand.
Anyway all to say, I’m tired and not reading well but their advertising must be pretty shit if this is the first ad I’ve ever seen for it.
I’ve got one, syncs up easily with other Apple devices but the sound isn’t great. If I hadn’t had a gift card to knock down the price it would not be worth $100, I’ve had cheaper Bluetooth speakers with better sound and hardiness.
I once activated Siri, and before I could say anything my dog started barking – and Siri replied “Good boy!”
I mean, “I’m only happy when it rains” should be the national anthem for Catland.
I mean, “Son of Sam” was about a man who became a serial killer after being told to by a dog so I can see why cats would like it.
You’d think it would be a cat telling people to kill. Or at least knock shit off the table. Son of Sam could have just been some guy who went into peoples houses and broke stuff.
Dogs are too dumb to conspire. Smart enough to sit and recognize smells, but too dumb for complex thought.

My poodle knows how to tap the homepad with his nose to play music. He gets up to it, taps it, and then curls down beneath it to listen. It’s very cute and definitely intentional on his part.

I’m kind of debating whether it makes a difference (other than making the url longer). There’s nothing compromising in the search I did to find the video, and I performed the search while not logged into YT, so there’s nothing linking back to me.
I’m surprised a bot hasn’t already shown up with an alternative piped link or whatever.
Nobody else knew you did that stuff until you explained it. Security culture means we all have an interest in each other’s security, and it’s aided by being able to see when something is insecure.
