Genuinely I don’t know. I’m studying Physics and Computer Engineering for this purpose. I obviously can’t change the world alone but hopefully others do as able to make a change.

Legislation is #1 but it seems all our politicians are bought and even the good ones get corrupted. Decentralization seems to be the best bet. But hardware is so utterly centralized because of its complexity and of course greed and monopolies.

I don’t even know how it would be possible, but maybe one day we could have something like consumer grade fabricators and electronics made out of materials that are 3d printable. Again, I’m not knowledgeable yet to understand if this is even a remote possibility but… It would be cool.

If y’all are missing the trend, let me spell it out.

The corporate vision of the future is rent and subscriptions everything. Own nothing and be under their complete control. End encryption, end software and hardware freedom to any usable degree.

Google will eventually follow suit and then… I guess grapheneos will move but for how long?

I’m really worried for the future of FOSS.

Here is an article on how mdma can change PTSD by opening up the brain by rewriting. This is obviously for depression and PTSD, but recognize why it works for these other things. It opens up the brain to becoming reactive to different stimuli after having kept the same pathways for so long.

I think of course, community is the best long term answer. Education is hard for adults but having lived narratives around you showing you a better way is FAR more effective than just some facts thrown at them.

These people need to be taken out of their echo chamber and if possible, given a new vision

A cool trans Linux enthusiast who used to work at Linus Media Group. She hadn’t transitioned or even realized she was trans for most of her time there.

She’s really down to Earth, is obviously at least a bit open minded to have transitioned, and presents topics really well.

Well this really exists for those billionaires and rulers. This isn’t for the common person.

They’re so mad that they’ve removed themselves so far from us and we still share a common experience in death. That’s unfair for them to have to be associated with peasants in such a debasing way. So now they’ll remind us that death is for the poor or at least not living centuries will be for poor.

One feels pain and has a brain. The other does not feel pain. Also one is an animal with a much more complex body than a mushroom. That makes for a more complex creature which can feel more and experience the world more.

I’m not saying krill are moral philosophers or poets. But they are much more advanced than mushrooms

Here’s our belief system: don’t kill or hurt animals as much as is possible.

We don’t need to theologize and systematize our ideology because it’s a movement with very little requirement to be part of.

There are whole foods plant based people, there are vegans who eat fun junk food (that’s not a judgment statement BTW). There are people from all over life who woke up one day and thought about their life choices. There really are not many other requirements than don’t exploit animals or consume them or their products.

Only the ones who could afford it.
