To answer your previous question, it’s the hypocrisy, the need to feel better than others because of the subconscious knowledge that they are temporary pushes them to positions that don’t align with the morality of the religion they mostly espouse but don’t follow. That sort of cognitive dissonance creates weird ass shit like this, although I’m going to believe without looking that this was ai generated rather than someone spent artistic time creating it, because that would make me really sad

AI doesn’t generate things without prompts. Somebody spent a lot of time prompting an AI, and this was the best outcome. There were far more horrific creations that never saw the light of day, like a failed Frankenstein experiment.

Conveniently enough, aircraft are mostly in the sky where the general population isn’t exposed to their exhaust, and most people don’t own an airplane or handle aviation fuel

the asshole that put lead in gasoline.

Given the knowledge of the time it increased performance and fuel economy. It wasn’t until decades later we realized it was horrible to humans and we started to phase it out.

I mean, asbestos was seen as a “wonder” material for a long time before we understood how terrible it was. Hell they used asbestos snow in wizard of oz.

I remember Obama having a number of people, who were like actually attracted to him, and fan-girled over him, with like editing them into wedding photos with him and shit. However, they were looked at as freaks. It was also not a lot of people, and they kinda turned themselves into social media freak shows, to continue the attention they got from their weird post of them kissing Obama, or whatever.

Gotta love how Christianity, a religion where one of the teachings is loving thy neighbor, is used as a way for people to justify hating liberals or anyone who isn’t part of the predominantly conservative white Christian hivemind. Stuff like these kinds of posts are definitely one of the top 3 reasons why I keep me away from organized religion.

This is why people on the left need to vote. The GOP falls in line, and they chip away every decade just because they show up.

You want things to go left? Vote. Every. Single. Time. For. Dems.

It’s just so sad how broken the US voting system is. In Finland we have a population of ~5 million, and we have 9 parties currently in the parliament out of a total of 16 registered (the rest just didn’t get enough votes to make it into parliament this time 'round).

Y’all have almost 350 million people and 2 parties, neither of which seems to have much interest in getting rid of first-past-the-post. The really sad part is that Thomas Jefferson independently came up with a voting method that’s identical to the d’Hondt method that’s pretty commonly used here in Urop and proposed that the US should use it, but if I remember right he was veto’d by Washington for whatever reason

Yes… a split center party will have some go left, some right, some center. So long as we consistently vote in left of current republican authoritarians then we’re good. Any scenarios with the death of American republicanism is good
