    If this were any other conflict that didn’t involve Israel … the United Nations and the world would be reacting in a completely different way than they are now.

    The killing has to stop … on both sides. If not, than the only answer is more war and death.

      I’m just a moron on the Internet, but I don’t get why UN peacekeeping forces are not in the region right now. That said, it’s not like a temporary pause is going to magically solve the long-term problem, either, but it seems like a necessary first step.

        UN peacekeeping forces can only be deployed by agreement of the security council. The United States is a permanent member of the security council and will veto any UN deployment against its interests. The United States and Israel are extremely close allies militarily and politically
