    Hell yes - it’s insane that any government pretending to support business would go against this. They’re clearly doing so for the purely ideological “fuck the libs” reasons so pervasive in modern conservatism.

    To speak anecdotally, just a few years ago my family bought the business that several of us work for. One of our biggest priorities is improving wages/benefits for the staff. With limited funds while we pay off our debts, we have to really pick and choose what we spend money on. As such, we put medical benefits on the backburner so we could raise wages. Now, due to the NDP’s pressure on the Liberals, our staff get to enjoy dental and pharmacare in addition to their higher wages. I haven’t looked into the numbers, but I can GUARANTEE that government -run pharmacare is going to work out with much lower real costs (taxes) than any private medical insurance would cost businesses.

    How is that not a win for both business AND labour?
