That’s so heartwarming.
Here in Durham Region (Ontario), every public event that I’ve attended this year has begun with land acknowledgement, and has had some other component of First Nation culture (i.e. smudging) included. It’s honestly really nice to see.
My work has a lot of First Nation staff and recently they performed a smudging ceremony at the office. It was great to learn about and it was nice for coworkers to share their culture
