The best part is, it is not like there are any good people caught up in this. Literally everyone who bought a cybertruck sucks. Some hardworking mom working two jobs didn’t end up with one of these accidentally , it’s literally all the worst most toxic people who were using it for their own grift.
Insurance company vs Tesla… Consider me conflicted
It’s fine to hate both sides, you don’t have to take a side.
the enemy of my enemy is also my enemy but i will cheer for them to get the first kill
- The enemy of my enemy is my enemy’s enemy. No more. No less.
from the maxims of maximally effective mercenaries
fuck Tesla but it sickens me how the letter says “we won’t cover this because it’s in our ‘ineligible list’”, that’s not a reason. I’d hate if they did this to me inexplicably
It’s quite explicable for Tesla though
I can root for hope both sides to strike killing blows.
the insurance companies are gonna be sent to salvadoran prisons!
I’m calling this right now: Trump and the GOP are going to pass a law guaranteeing the government will underwrite insurance policies for all Teslas, just like they do with national flood insurance.
On the one hand yeah obvious corruption
On the other, though, insurance companies are forced to pay out on these, which lol fuck the companies but they’ll use it as an excuse to raise rates.
:(
Ha! Can’t insure it, can’t drive it on public roads. That’s even better than jacked up rates.
Can’t drive it off-road, either LOL
Can’t insure it, can’t drive it on public roads.
Haha! Good one
- Nissan drivers
The absolute sewage processing plant fire that is this monstrosity set aside, you gotta love the lack of a real reason. “Your car doesn’t qualify for coverage because it’s out list of ineligible vehicles.”
Coulda just up and said, “your ‘vehicle’ is a Nazi-built death trap. We don’t insure those.”
Coulda just up and said, “your ‘vehicle’ is a Nazi-built death trap. We don’t insure those.”
They definitely don’t care about that first reason, and I’m not sure the second is measurably that much worse than other cars.
What they definitely do care about, though, is that it’s prone to being vandalized and incredibly expensive to repair.
That and the uncertainty of being able to open the doors when a quick exit is needed, say a fire or something. There’s a big difference in price tag in total loss vs. loss of life.
A big difference for the occupant, not for the insurance company
And the panels flying off and hitting someone else
Burn a Tesla, save America.
Nice that they give them a buffer so the battery has a chance to suddenly self ignite.
Why was this typed on a typewriter?
Created in a type-matrix printer. Probably because the insurance company’s deal with the post office was closed in the 1980s, and the letter-making equipment is the same since then.
Created in a type-matrix printer.
Not quite the same thing as a dot matrix printer, but thinking about it just made me slightly nostalgic for fanfold paper anyway.
I do miss being able to tear off the perforated pin feed holes
Nice.
I fondly remember ripping off the perforated sides (apparently called tractor feeds).
Because apart from banks and governments, insurance companies have the most technical neglect possible.
From the outside the US is like a Time Machine.
Haha its always about profits. :)
Well, maybe those Teslas can be used to transport eggs or something.
Anybody got a list of their banned vehicles?
I could not care less
Then why comment?
