Are Republicans for or against the Jews? They love the war in Israel and demonize the Muslims. But then they turn around and also demonize the Jews and parade their Nazi paraphernalia downtown. I’m so confused. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They are only pro-Jewish and pro-Israel in the context of a) their any-Islam sentiment (they see both sides as bad, but Jews are very nominally better), and b) that they want to expedite conflict between the two sides because they think that will drag Jesus down from Heaven for a premature Armageddon. So they pretend to like Jewish people and Israel for their own self-serving and idiotic reasons.

I understand that this is most likely just you pointing out obvious hypocrisy and you won’t be surprised by this, but Republicans don’t have sincerely held beliefs. They believe whatever they need to believe in order to be better than you in this one moment in time. If the circumstances change then so do the beliefs.

The title is pretty misleading. Not only is it taken out context, warping the emphasis, this is actually said by another person, to which Trump replied “yes, yes”.

Don’t take me wrong, it’s still a pretty terrible thing to say/agree with, but not at all what the title implies.

Title doesn’t really imply it, it says it, in quotes, with his name right there saying “Trump on…:” it is an actual lie. And it’s frustrating because the dude says enough dumb ass shit that they can cover they don’t have to make it up ruining that validity of the media when they say negative Trump things. Hell, they could say Trump: “Yes Yes” after someone says “XYZ” pretty much says the same thing, but they aren’t a liar.

It is exactly what the title implies. “Yes, yes” is agreement, and those words are what Trump believes. Or claims to believe, assuming he has the brains to believe anything at all.

Except you used quotation marks to intentionally mislead users.

Either the title should be edited, or this post this should be removed.

Your title doesn’t just imply but clearly portrays this as a direct quote from Trump. "Trump on [topic]” followed by double quotes doesn’t leave much room for imagination.

The distinction between saying the words and saying “Yes, yes” is nada to me, so I guess I’ll never make the team at the New York Times.

This is a rare case where the original headline is much more accurate than OP’s. You should edit it and change to the original as yours is misleading. We don’t need to do the manipulative shit republicans do.

He specifically didn’t say that. We don’t need to exaggerate shit. He does enough real horrible stuff on his own.

“If you are Jewish,” Trump continued, “regardless of Israel, if you’re Jewish, if you vote for a Democrat you’re a fool. An absolute fool.”

This is what it all comes down to. Support this idiot or you’re an enemy.

I really don’t want to listen to these assholes talk, but I’m like 90% sure the context is just like how we say Republicans are horrible Christians, as in they don’t follow Christianity not that we hate Christians.

I really don’t know of any instance when he said or agreed to something that bad that wasn’t aimed at immigrants or Democrats. My money is on worthless asshole “media” going for the clickbait money and lying by omission.

I hate that I even have to attempt to defend this piece of shit, but these things never turn out to be true in the way it is described.

It’s just like the “you wont have to vote” thing. It’s almost certainly “you won’t have to vote to get what you want next time because if I win we’ll have fixed it already!” not “you don’t have to vote because we’re becoming a dictatorship.” No one is that stupid, even Trump.

I don’t know, though. I said and thought just about the same thing, but he’s said so many of these kinds of things, and his true believers believe it. We ought to believe he means it, too.
