Her job is one of the most interesting in the administration to me. Every day she has to get up there and gaslight, lie, and threaten people on behalf of somebody that she knows full well is a piece of shit. She might be a true believer in Trump’s goals, I don’t see how you could do that job otherwise, but she’s not so stupid that she can’t tell what she’s doing. Most of the rest of them only have to say the crazy shit every so often but there she is, day in and day out, laying out the bullshit that they came up with in their late night spin sessions.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to have that low of a moral standard. It’s such a foreign concept to my brain that even though I know intellectually what she’s doing I just can’t comprehend how it’s possible to live that way without hating yourself. Who knows, maybe she does hate herself, but she’s at least putting on a good show of being OK with it all.

Are you expecting this to make an impact in some way?

I would imagine that people in general would be more likely to support paying increased taxes to support climate change related action if they didn’t feel that those taxes could be the difference between paying rent and being homeless. New taxes can’t be the only solution because climate change isn’t the only thing people care about.

I do wish we could stop confusing tolerance with active support though. I don’t need to be on your team to tolerate you or your lifestyle. In fact, we don’t even need to acknowledge each other’s existence to be tolerant of one another. We just need to let each other exist unimpeded.

Yeah if reading something is too high of a bar for the average person to clear then I will happily admit that my expectations of humanity are too high.

Yeah that’s what I meant by “people who use it more probably think it has a better layout”. I’ve tried to use it in the fashion it was designed on a couple of occasions but the version control / repository categorization functions didn’t make sense to me.
