I’ve developed this vision where I’m on my deathbed, 90+ years old and my caretaker will have accidentally left a news program on. As I lay gasping for my last breath, the last thing I hear is ‘X is happening due to decades old Trump policies’ or something close to that, but the point is that I swear I’ll be hearing about the ratfuck until my last breath because of how much he fucked over this place before he left it.

He will never be ‘just a wiki page’, that is wishful thinking in the best case scenario.

Uh huh, the problems are due to one single person, and will magically disappear when he’s gone. Yup.

Sometimes I wonder if the Republican Party will keep chugging along with an AI generated Trump for a few years after he croaks.

Nobody else seems to have his weird appeal and ability to let stupid statements roll off his back. In the hands of anyone else, this administration should have been overthrown as a clan of self-interested moronic tyrants. And yet with Trump, somehow middle America cheers on their own money being taken from their pockets.

I have little doubt that you could generate a bunch of asinine tweets and videos and use an obese body double on a golf course while they try to find someone else who makes Americans celebrate their own demise.

MAGA is a classic Cult of Personality, and Trump’s death will be the end. Like all Dictators, he won’t name a successor because he doesn’t want to give any power to anyone else, so he’ll let Rubio and Vance fight it out for his own entertainment.

Meanwhile there are a bunch of MAGA losers entertaining the fantasy of taking over MAGA when Trump dies. Guys like Don Jr. You don’t think he feels like he’s ENTITLED to succeed his father to the throne? Or Hegseth? Or Lindsey Graham? Or DeSantis? Or Abbot? Or Tucker Carlson?

When Trump assumes room temperature, the knives are going to come out, and the backstabbing will begin. It will be glorious.

I agree, but I still don’t feel confident enough to say that all will be well.

Like with any dictatorship, infighting will occur for succession and the person with the least self restraint will rise to the top. We might have some schadenfreude moments watching some morons fall from grace, but the apex moron will end up in charge.

The real problem will be the Democratic response. The probable response is that the Dem leadership will want to be polite, and kindly guide the MAGAs, who are feral, rabid, and sociopathic, so they will only lash out viciously.

Instead, they should stay out of it, let MAGA attack itself, and melt down, only encouraging and facilitating their downfall as much as possible.

At the same time, the Dems need to be fully exploiting the MAGA chaos, and pass as much citizen-oriented, Sociopathic Oligarch-controlling legislation as possible.

We need strong, courageous, strategic leadership in Congress to accomplish it, and right now there is nobody to replace the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries.

I have a few theories on what will happen after Trump is dead. My first theory is that most of his followers will go full Waco or Jonestown and drink the Kool-Aid. Or we could end up with a Dalai Lama situation where they believe his spirit is in the body of a Someone else the leading to arise of fake charlatans, such as with Megachurch pastors. And my final theory is that they won’t believe that he is dead and it will be similar to how people still say they see Elvis or spot Bigfoot in the woods.

I think your third theory will definitely happen. It seems to be a cultural obsession to believe that their heroes are still out there hiding from the spotlight.

Theory number two is quite plausible too. A second coming of Trump could certainly happen. It terrifies me that thousands of years from now, he could get exalted enough that he is discussed like a messiah.

Theory one is a bit further fetched, but maybe a handful of nutters?

For sure all 3 of my theory’s have some sort of realization and over the top dumb shit. I do think and feel that the Messiah possibility is very likely when he dies. It might be even on the same scale as Al-Qaeda, where we have a large wave of violence from his cult members.

The Q MAGA branch is going to say that he’s still alive, while blaming Liberals for his murder, even if he croaked while giving a speech on live TV.

Trump wants to live on forever, wants his name to last through the ages. His name will last, but it will be in a horrible context. I guess that’s one way to acheive immortality

      It won’t last, honestly…

Look at Hitler. His name means less by the day, and generations of people have cursed it.

      Fuck Hitler. Fuck Trump.

But some day… Literally in many of our lifetimes, people will say “Who the fuck is Donald Trump?”

We will tell them of the time millions of people were duped by an idiot. We will explain how dumb these folks were. And we will move on…

His ballroom will be gone by then. His tower, renamed. His children will be nobodies. His legacy will be millions of people wanting to shit on his grave, and taxpayers angry about the countless goons preventing this.

Some day… Some day soon. I hope we will win the right to shit on his grave. This is America.

I’m a nobody. Maybe I’ll run for office some day on the right to shit on this guy’s grave. When they kill me, just know… I don’t regret it. This is America. Fuck the “kings”. Shit on their fucking grave.

Sadly, I don’t think it’ll take “the right” that much time to find a new Trump. The American white supremacist masses yearn for a leader that approves of and shares in their behaviour. Things haven’t changed much since the days of their native-genociding ancestors, at least not in their hearts.

trump is a useful puppet, he is senile and easily manipulated. everyone around him has learned to take advantage if him. Mamdani just gave him a fake newspaper and he got so many concessions. he’s an extremely useful tool for the rich

Nah, the benefit is that they’ll all be fighting with each other in their attempts to be the next Trump, and in the process they’ll fracture and weaken their party.

honestly that is when stephen colbert should reawaken his steve eagleson (idk i didn’t really pay attention) persona. i think it’s possible they political stricture would coalesce around him and we could make them do the funniest things
