I’m under the impression that Google deliberately hinders their YouTube platform just because you have ad-blockers. With videos taking time to buffer, seems to signal this, because it almost makes up nearly the amount of time for when ads take if you had to watch them. So since you’re ad-blocking and they don’t like that, they’ll make your experience miserable until you want to pay their service or not use ad-block.
They also make the page slower in non-Chrome browsers like Safari and Firefox

That anxiety and depression are just symptoms of deep problems, and not in and of themselves psychological conditions. It’s cheaper and less work to just throw meds at the symptoms then it is to do the work to find why people are struggling with the anxiety and depression.
Many of the deeper issue causing them are from how are society works, and can’t be changed or fixed easily, but I don’t know, maybe if everyone realized that our society is hurting us this badly we could do something about it. But no, “here take these meds that will numb the pain and every emotion you have, now be a good little worker drone and get back to grind. It’s not the society that’s the issue, it just you… And everyone else that we are also giving these meds too.”
I myself recently realized that the anxiety and depression I suffered from as a teen was caused by childhood trauma, being undiagnosed neurodigergent, and being Queer. All things society at large tries to ignore or out right hate. Any none of the mental health professionals tried to look into why I was struggling, they just gave me meds and sent me on my way.
That being said, if the meds are the only thing keeping you from ending it all, do what you got to do. Meds are a tool and tools should be used if they are helpful.

Think about it. Everytime some dumb criminal gets caught, there’s always a report about them searching up how to do the crime on Google, which the police collects as part of their investigation.
A “smart” criminal/terrorist would then avoid common search engines and would opt for DDO since they don’t share or collect search data.
DDO just doesn’t share that data with advertisers, trackers, and regular police/FBI like how other search engines do, but they do share it with the NSA just like every other search engine did via PRISM.
NSA uses the data for whatever purpose and helps to ensure DDO’s security. DDO also never compromises on sharing its data to anyone except the NSA to maintain an image of security and privacy to would be criminals.

Even talking about this stuff makes people VERY uncomfortable and angry. Especially given most people subscribe to just world theories that people are inherently good or evil and what happens to them in life is justified because of that inherent quality they feel usually is attributed from some universal force. People really can’t cope with how random ‘evil’ can really be.
The scariest part is that anyone can become anything, given the right circumstances. Nobody is inherently good or evil, and most of the people who endlessly moralize about others, themselves tend towards more evil behaviors. I especially enjoy how the ‘anti evil’ people are so eager to enact violence on others or in the name of others.

When George Lucas was filming A New Hope he did not have the notion developed that Vader was actually Luke’s father, and that he only came up with it after the movie was released. There is no actual foreshadowing of this, no hints, and really nothing in A New Hope would even point to this possibility. To say Vader “killed your father” but to really mean “uhhhh I meant the ‘Vader’ persona metaphorically ‘killed’ the person your father was” is such a ridiculous stretch I just don’t get why more people don’t ever call this out. The much more straightforward explanation is that Lucas came up with the idea as a way to build up drama in the movies that followed, after A New Hope was already out.

I wonder if that was selected as a way to resolve the love triangle once Lucas realized that there’s a reason romantic comedies usually make one of the members of love triangles villains, or at least don’t let the audience get as close with both competers. Shows/movies that do are instead dramas, which are a completely different tone from the light-hearted romance he was going for.

I’m currently rewatching Once Upon A Time. This is a big spoiler for season five, episode 7. Merlin claims the first dark one killed his true love and then we find out that the first dark one was his true love and he was speaking metaphorically just like Obi-Wan about Vader and Anakin. This wasn’t a later retcon either cause it’s in the same episode. It was the writers deliberately misleading us for a surprise. I think they got the idea from Star Wars. The show references Star Wars a lot
