So what’s the policy - official or otherwise - on creating communities? Should I just re-create my favourite Reddit communities, if they don’t already exist, and see if there’s any uptake?

    Absolutely create them, but more importantly post to them & where possible, post about them. People often hold back from posting if a community seems vacant, so its important to add new stuff regularly to your community.

    yep, feel free to create any communities you want. there are many out there already, especially on other instances.
