Energy and Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson says the federal government is “not interested” in subsidizing future liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects, including the electrification of projects currently in the works.
Right now the only problem LNG is solving is “how can oil barons shift their fortunes to something that can be made to seem greener?”
And the only reason it seems greener is because NG is undetectable when it leaks out of pipes and storage. So they just let it spew out everywhere and don’t need to accurately report it to government agencies.
