Did you know that a NFT is just a hyperlink [1] to an image thats usually hosted on Google Drive or another web2.0 webhost?

People are dropping millions on instructions on how to download images. That’s why you can right click save-as because they are standard images. The image is not stored in the blockchain contract.

As web2.0 webhosts are known to go offline (404 errors) this handy torrent contains all of the NFT’s so that future generations can study this generations tulip mania and collectively go…“WTF? We destroyed our planet for THIS?!”

when the NFT crowds finds out that an image that appears the same can have different hashes, they’ll want to ban compression algorithms too :) :)

Ikr! With how much people went on about NFTs, I always thought the actual image data was stored on the blockchain or something like that XD

Worst part is that it’s actually possible. So they intentionally made it shit.

And if the link goes down then it’s even more useless.

<copypasta> You think it’s funny to take screenshots of people’s NFTs, huh? You must be a very immature person to steal someone’s property that they PAID for. Yeah, I said it. You’re the kind of person who thinks that property theft (a seriously illegal offence) is a joke. I don’t even know why you took that screenshot, because you didn’t pay 1000 dollars for it. I did. The blockchain doesn’t lie. Even if you try to save it, it’s my property. You’re just angry that you couldn’t afford this priceless masterpiece. Even if you could, your fingers couldn’t even click fast enough to get one of the 10000 NFTs sold. You’re just mad you don’t own what I own.

So, delete that screenshot, or I swear, you’ll be hearing from my lawyers. </copypasta>

these ugly humanoid animal drawings are going to be this generation’s snails and butt trumpets to people 1000 years from now.

I downvoted because this assumes all these cryptoscams will still be around in 1000 years. Even if we still have computers then, it’s highly unlikely these low-value high-resources schemes will be preserved. And it’s already quite a stretch to imagine we’ll still have binary computers one thousand years from now. It’s not even sure there’ll be anything human/mammal left if industrial capitalism continues at this rate.

my comment was purely a joke? nothing about it is serious, just laughing at how silly the whole situation is, and comparing it to something people might be familiar with.

this isnt piracy, all the images are freely available to anyone regardless of whether or not they support the artist by paying for the nft of the art

I mean you only deserve it if you’re proud of something you can’t truly own despite paying for it

Yes, and it was awesome. A small price to pay for salvation
