What about my parental right to have compulsory schooling actually teach about the real world as it exists and help me prepare my child for life in that world?

What about my parental right to expect that the institutions and employees charged with providing that compulsory schooling ensure that my child is treated with respect for who they are and protected from those who would do otherwise?

If we’re going to talk about parental rights as though children have none, then let’s put it all on the table.

You have no such right as a parent. As a child, you do in fact have an actual Charter right to an education, and your parents cannot interfere with that right.

Even better! That means, I think, that it is the duty of the government and the schools they run to provide the best education possible, not just the education they or activist groups desire.

            Ah the notwithstanding clause.

"We want the people who will stop talking to their toxic, shithead parents forever at 18 to suffer juuuuuust a little bit more, and a little bit longer.

“Coming in 3 years, once it becomes clear that this didn’t get rid of the gay queer trans liberal socialists, we’ll be increasing the age of majority to 38 and require employers to report all pronouns, nicknames, wages, or salaries to parents.”

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The founder of a group described as a national Christian organization said it has been successful in influencing the Saskatchewan Party government to adopt pronoun and sexual education policies that affect children at school.

Tanya Gaw, founder of Action4Canada, said her group urged the Saskatchewan government to ban Planned Parenthood and SOGI 123, a sexual health resource, from schools months before the province did so.

She said one of her members also had a face-to-face conversation with Duncan’s staff in April, serving what the group calls a “notice of liability” for “causing harm” to children by exposing them to “sexually explicit” resources.

Egale, which is assisting UR Pride in its legal challenge, completed a report in 2021 that said “conservative political and religious groups” are manipulating gender issues to incite violence and discrimination against LBGTQ people.

Members with the Regina Civic Awareness and Action Network have attended board meetings, raising concerns about “gender-affirming care,” said Wayne Bernakevitch, a group founder.

In June, her group urged people to sign Action4Canada’s petition to have Planned Parenthood banned, citing a case where a staff member of the organization inadvertently took inappropriate sexual material to a Grade 9 class in a town north of Regina.

The original article contains 962 words, the summary contains 199 words. Saved 79%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Premier is a closeted homosexual confirmed.

Do you realize how homophobic these sorts of messages are? Accusing every homophobe of being secretly homosexual is in itself homophobic for two reasons.

First, because if it was true then would logically follow that the suffering of homosexuals would be entirely self-inflicted. We know this is false, because in certain cultures homophobia is nearly universal.

Second, because it implies that the “problem” with homophobes is that they are homosexual, when in reality the problem is that they are… well… homophobic.

I’m not denying that some homosexuals suffer from internalized homophobia. But to jump from that to the blanket assumption that every homophobe is homosexual is plainly wrong, both factually and morally.
