The American left: I won’t vote for an old white man! We want change!

“Ok he’s gone, here’s an educated, youthful black woman”

The American left: ew, not like that!

(No need to reply I’ve heard all the excuses you’ve all made to explain why the black lady is hitler and just as bad as trump, by the way those excuses like typical Americans, focus on other countries and what they’re up to, instead of fixing your own damn country)

Idk I think many Americans are that shallow but I think the majority don’t care about skin color or gender. I think she would have won if the Dems hadn’t tightened the leash and let her run a more progressive campaign instead of forcing her to go into lock step with Biden and campaigning with Cheney.

the hilarious thing is that they had tim walz as a running mate, and everyone obviously LOVES him because he seems like a genuinely good person, and kamala just kinda… did nothing with that?

like especially when contrasted to walz, harris just feels like a cardboard cutout, and democrats are just puzzled why people give up on voting as a whole

I don’t think Harris was progressive at all. She seemed disingenuous, media-trained to be as uncontroversial as possible, and every talking point focus tested. Her major economic policy was to give more money to business owners. I think Waltz is somewhat progressive, and they did put a leash on him. I agree she would’ve won if she was more progressive, especially if she focused on policies benefiting labor.

Ive seen that one of the major demographics that swung the election was Latino Men, and a lot of the follow up was that there was a lot of sexism/racism in that. They couldnt fathom a black lady being president. At the time, Trump was already threatening to throw them out of the country, and they still voted for him.

Maybe the majority of Democrats, but make no mistake, the “DEI Hire” comments being shouted in from the right are nothing more than racism and sexism.

She was (and still is), despite the shit circumstances of her nomination, one of the most qualified people in the country for the Office of the President.

The amount of people who are BuT GeNoCiDe screaming is pathetic. They didn’t give a fuck about Sudan being in a civil war, they don’t care about Myanmar. They don’t care that trump wantonly supports Russia who’s ethnically cleansing Ukraine right now, it’s just all about Gaza for them.

Somehow, trump gets a pass from them with Russia, but Israel doing what Israel has done pretty much since it’s existence is the fault of only Kamala.

True. I know these fake ass leftists who cry about “Genocide Joe” are disingenuous because they never gave even 1% of the same amount of fucks about the ethnic cleansing of the Uyghurs. I have to remind people that there are still multiple genocides going on as we speak, but the only one that seems to get any political attention is Israeli cleansing of Gaza. Those crimes against humanity are but one of the horrible things being carried out and not only is it not a new/recent event, but it shouldn’t come as any surprise that our government both Democrat and Republican, have never lifted a finger to curtail it since the state of Israel was formed after WW2.

The Dem voters who stayed home and let Trump win because of Biden’s foreign policy with Israel are beyond moronic. Congratulations, you voted with your conscience, now the pro-genocide candidate is in office and Israel has 4+ years to glass over Palestine and completely eliminate it’s peoples. Well done.

When the young American left started yelling about gaza I was like “y’all just found out about gaza? That shit has been going on for like 60 years” and don’t get me wrong, im not against any of the points that are being made. Im just against Americans leading the charge. Americans are the last people who should be criticizing annyone about genocide, it’s their national pastime. It’s the left’s version of being the world police. And I guess it’s easier to try and fix Israel than to try and fix their own country which is currently on fire.

My message to Americans would be, i agree with you on this. Now shut the fuck up and fix your own shit

To be fair, though, Gaza has fully ramped to what may as well be an extermination. If it keeps up this new rate the whole place will be a lifeless wasteland in no time at all.

Complete non sequitur that seemed amusingly absurd:

The point is that you could only be so bigoted if you’re uneducated.

My brain first interpreted that to mean that, at a certain level if bigotry, one must pursue some form of education to fulfill the prerequisites of increasing bigotry further. Like the Bigotry Police show up stating “We’re sorry sir but, you can’t apply for the position of Grand Wizard until you’ve finished at least three semesters in upper-division Xenophobic Studies. Now, we’re going to let you off with a warning this time but, if you apply for the role again without proper credentials, we are going to have to cite you.”

Fuck Trump and America, but The Hill didn’t say that with the weight that this insinuates.

The story is again Americas media literacy perhaps.

I know it doesn’t help, but the brain worm is real. I tried this last week. People are angry and I get that, my family is bipoc and our “friends” in Texas talk about reporting all the illegals they “see”. I’m furious, but that doesn’t make truth subjective. I don’t know why anyone thinks pretending that the fucking hill has anything to do with a fucking opinion piece. I don’t know why anyone thinks that platforming trash like this was intended to do anything less than generate buzz. I don’t know why people think that lending credence to that buzz has any measurable effect in any meaningful way beyond licking their metaphorical wounds. I don’t know why people believe that over-sensationalizing a best case semantic shit show is anything but playing into what the right views as stereotypical leftist tropes.

      Shit like this… Just embarrassing

Opinion pieces abuse the legitimacy of the publisher to get out stuff like this, and that’s a failing on the media platform, just like native advertising. If they don’t want to be associated, make sure the tweet makes it absolutely obvious that it isn’t the Hill saying this, but just some nobody with an opinion.
