    With Canada’s land border largely closed off, the asylum system now favors people like Bakhit who can get a visa and plane ticket, refugee lawyer Maureen Silcoff said.

      the vast majority of people entering the us, including illegaly, do so by air as well. Land border control is, and has been for decades, a political stunt.

    Thanks to our (US) foreign policy and shitting on many countries, this will keep happening.

    Did we have a shortage of immigration slots? I thought we let in like 1M last year, it didn’t seem like there was much discernment involved.
