Just a heads-up, while many of the stuff they sell are actual products of Canada (i.e. grown here, too), a lot of them are only packaged in Canada. They do list the country of origin, so you can easily buy NotAmerican ™️
damn I just assumed they were chinese because the grandparents used to stock up
Where can I find the country of Origin on their website for each product? I checked out the cashews and they all just say “prepared in Canada”
It looks like any processed product only says “prepared in Canada”, without any mention of the actual country of origin of the base ingredients
You’ve got to click on “product information” for that specific item to see the country of origin. They have one listed for every item I checked.
It’s under “product information” when you go into the individual product page.
Their “organic raw cashew pieces” are from Vietnam, but they have so many cashew products! LOL From what I see, they are pretty much all from outside of the States, but the “prepared in Canada” ones seem to be the ones that are flavoured or processed in some other way.
Badass, I absolutely adore some of their rice cracker mixes.
I’ve only ever purchased nuts, seeds, grains, and vegan chocolate chips from the company. But I went through my collection of like 15 different products and parsed out the ones that were made outside the States, and found quite a few (especially grains) from Canada. Glad they have a Made in Canada section now.
I don’t know why it is a lot more expensive to buy from their website compared to amazon
Great question. I’ve only ever purchased their stuff through Amazon, but would prefer to purchase directly through them. Maybe email them to ask, because cutting Amazon out of the equation should be a win/win for us and them.
It is 15$ more expensive for the pin nuts
There really is no reason why, though. Maybe it’s easier for them to have Amazon fulfill orders directly, so they discourage purchasing directly? I have no idea. I don’t work for the company, but they are Canadian and sell Canadian products, so…
Many companies do this when they sell through Amazon because it cuts out packing and shipping individual orders. Sucks balls honestly. Flood then with direct requests at the same price point.
Try Costco.ca
They’re great
Cool, thanks!
