  • Had a friend buy his second or third Rolex and we were all new grads. I was broke as hell at the time so it surprised me he was buying watches the price of a car right out of uni (and his parents just bought him an apartment so he lived in a different world).

He was telling me how this watch is gonna increase in value so it’d be stupid not to get it.

I never said it and only thought about it, but I was thinking that if you were buying it as an investment, why are you wearing it? Why not keep it at home? It could get stolen or lost or broken. But I guess I have brokey mentality.

  • Yeah you’re absolutely right in terms of concept. I mean if you dig into my example, Suicide Squad could have been a good live-action shooter as well. Marvel Rivals is cooking right now.

I think my initial impression was switching a single-player studio over, but I lost that message in my reply. I also think it could be fun to take down mechs together as a team.

Just pulling it out of my ass, I didn’t think I see the appetite and if it’s not there then we could be left with a lackluster game.

I’m a big Horizon fan. Although I need to try Monster Hunter, my friends love it.

  • Oh, I didn’t mean this-therefore-that … I was trying to say that these two games in my experience having enjoyed the single-player, I think would have failed in the multiplayer realm as the desire doesn’t seem to be there. I’m certain there are examples in the opposite direction.

The IP “could” make sense as the gameplay goes for a very fetch questy type of mechanic and the land is vast and they could expand the lore.

I was just assuming (out of my ass) that these successful single-player story driven games are “forced” to do multiplayer games for cash grabs.

Albeit Blizzard did it for WarCraft, but I always saw Blizzard differently in this regard as it seemed like they had (very much past tense) the desire to do so.

Once again, all assumptions. I’m wrong, often am.

  • Looks like Mio, you add it to your water to get flavoured water. I guess like Tang or Kool-Aid but modern and typically zero calories or something like that.

I’m guessing this one has caffeine and for some reason they chose not to mix it with water.

  • I almost bought Diablo 4 a few times but remembered who the company was. The Overwatch 2 fiasco made me avoid joining in. WC3 Remake was a disaster …

After hearing about Bobby Kotick (sp?) the prick CEO who destroyed the company to completely enrich himself and hearing stories from Thor (PirateSoftware) about Blizzard it makes me never want to support them ever.

Makes me sad because I remember a time where I was such a champion of Blizzard. I just knew any game they had was solid back then.
