Just popped up in my feed. I loved Starship Troopers as a kid, not knowing the satire underneath. Anyways, it’s a nice interview.

I don’t really like reaction contentin general, but it’s awesome how much he’s into it and how he lives his role. And not in a sad way like that prick from the sandlot for example

I don’t typically understand react content when I don’t see the relevance from the reactor to the content.

I like watching something like orchestra conductors reacting to Final Fantasy music or a lawyer watching a video of a cop takedown. That way they typically give some professional insight that I’m not typically seeing. Just seeing someone go “ohh” or “ahh” doesn’t appeal to me at all.

Oh, there’s more than that my friend! There’s

Starship Troopers 2, which is more of a horror movie.

Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, which has big mech suits!

Starship Troopers: Invasion, and Starship Troopers: Traitor to Mars, animated movies.

Starship Troopers: Roughneck Chronicles, dozens of half hour episodes following the troopers’ adventures.

I don’t think so, but I’ve only seen the movies. 2 and 3 were fine, if you go in knowing they don’t have most of the same cast. My standard for sci-fi movies is pretty low, but I had fun. I also like the Tremors movies, though, so YMMV.

I haven’t seen 2, but I have seen 3. 3 keeps that same kind of fascist tone, but by the end of the movie it has morphed into Christofacism. Plus cool robot suits. The effects seemed cheaper than the OG, but I haven’t seen it since 08-09 so I don’t know if they look much worse now or if they hold up about the same.

Hey Arrowhead, could we get a Casper Van Dien voice for our Helldivers? His stim voice line could be a play on the “come on you apes! Wanna live forever?” line.
