An odd issue. I’ve noticed that while on lemmy.ca some thumbnails seem to show up but way less than when directly on other lemmy instances, even when in the same community.
Is there some issue here? Or maybe some setting to show or not show thumbnails, either in the instance software or in the user settings?

it seems only the sh.itjust.works instance has some thumbnails, ours and .world don’t. strange. i’ll will poke around the logs and other communities to see if i can figure anything out.
Yup, that seems to coincide with what I noticed. Some instances have few thumbnails, some have a few more, and others seem to have quite a bit of them. It’s odd considering they’re all running the same software and version.
I’ll be interested in hearing what you find out, if anything.
