Best: Culver’s, In n Out. Last favorite: carls Junior, McDonald’s
least favorite: Jack-in-the-box.
I got a taco there and it was literally just ground beef in a tortilla.
¡Yo quiero Taco Bell! Worst is probably Arby’s but I haven’t eaten there in probably 20 plus years
Favorite: Culver’s for burgers, Zaxbys for chicken, Sonny’s for BBQ, Taco Bell for…whatever that is. Guilty pleasure food, really. Best Fries are Five Guys, but everything else there is too ludicrously expensive to even consider.
Least Favorite: McDonalds, except for its breakfast. Their normal food has always been TERRIBLE, literally the worst burgers in the business, except for their breakfast, which is surprisingly decent.
Fave: Somic Least Fave: Chick-Fil-A
Favorite: McDonald’s
Least Favorite: Also McDonald’s
Favourite: Coco Ichibanya. Lifesaver in Japan for me, as they offer vegan curries and exist in smaller cities where other options for food I can eat are scarce. Also, very tasty.
Least favourite: Mc D’s I guess. Only went there once in the last decade. Food was crappy and overpriced. Annoying ordering system as well.
Have you been to a Gyu-kaku? As someone who doesn’t live in Japan, this Tokyo-based chain is awesome to me, but I wonder how they actually stack up in Japan.
I haven’t been there. I don’t think they offer any dishes without meat, at least at their locations in Japan.
My favorite fast food chain is burger king. There’s just something about the cooking process of that chain broiler that works for me.
Least favorite is McDonald’s. Sorry, but the fucking salt levels make my mouth dry out.
Australian here: Red Rooster. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if they changed their oil every few decades, but the last (and final) time I ordered it, it was just bad.
My favorite is probably Bojangles chicken. I don’t get to the southern US very often, but when I do I always get some of their chicken.
My least favorite is probably Wendy’s. They seem to suck just about every time.
Favorite is in-n-out. Least favorite is Rally’s
Finally got to try In & Out on a business trip, and they were LEGIT, AND reasonably priced. Wish they had them near us.
Zambreros number one. Worst… not sure, maybe hungry jacks? Nothing I’ve had in the last few years has been particularly bad.
Least favorite: Never had one in Canada, but the Taco Bells in India were at a premium price point for some weird reason. Was the food premium? No. Quite the opposite actually. Alongside this, definitely Tim Hortons. Fuck that place. So so unsanitary. Coffee is burnt, tea is bitter, their Boston creams taste like sugary snot packed in a sugar bomb dough… I have no idea why people get stuff from Tim’s.
Most favorite: Calgary coop’s non packaged food or whatever it’s called. Their bakery produces DELICIOUS stuff. Very slightly more expensive than Tim’s, but their Boston creams are so so good. Less sweet AND THEY HAVE SOME FLAVOR. Their muffins and fritters are massive (and delicious).
Coop gas bars are severely underrated too. They sell French vanillas (and other such sweet drinks like hazelnut lattes or whatever) there too! Cheaper than Tim’s, bigger portion sizes. They have coffee and tea too, but I’ve never tasted it. Oh yes, they have slushies too! Again, massive portion sizes, cheaper than Tim’s.
There’s also the added advantage that coop is a consumer coop, so it’s closer to market socialism than the other options ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Triple O’s (local chain) is my favourite.
McD’s for 2nd least favourite due to giving me the runs every time. Burger King for 1st least favourite for being disgusting.
They’re all not good and over-priced aren’t they? Does anyone really have a favourite?
I think it ultimately comes down to most convenient and least terrible. Like McDonald’s is not good by any stretch of the imagination, but they’re everywhere and you mostly know what you’re getting. I find that some locations don’t know the difference between a chocolate shake and a chocolate malt, and if you ask for the former, you always get the latter. Why McDonald’s even offers malts is beyond me (malts are superior to shakes IMO, but not everyone likes the grainy texture… if you know Maltesers or Whoppers candy, it’s the stuff inside, but powder, that’s malted milk, and making shakes with malted milk (Malts) is awesome). But I’ve only been to two that do it. (Maybe they just ordered the
wrongright shake mix.)I’d rather eat out of a toilet to be honest. I could get good food for that money from the supermarket next door.
I could get good food for that money from the supermarket next door.
Jealous. If only that were true everywhere. Supermarkets suck here…or cost a fortune or both
I’d still rather eat from a trashcan than mcdonalds
Edit: actually thinking about it, there is a fantastic falaffel place in oslo, i guess that would count as favorite. At the very least anything that isnt a chain
Where I live it’s not so much that supermarkets are cheap and good, more that McDonalds is expensive and bad, but there seems to be a myth that they’re cheap. I’ve been to Oslo actually, was pretty expensive there, is McDonalds cheap in Norway?
is McDonalds cheap in Norway?
Not much is cheap here, especially food :) But I guess it is cheaper than alternatives. Though, I never actually tried it here, so I can’t say about the quality.
