I mean, good on them for leaving, but the use of the word “children” in the title, seems needlessly dramatic/provacative.

I don’t think anything the article presented is wrong. Children in this context are just her children. They could be of any age and they’d still be her children.
They are clearly mentioned as fully grown adults multiple times in the article, and it’s not trying to present them as anything different.
I guess that is fair, the title just seemed too clickbaity
