I live in the US and I’m refusing to travel here until I make my escape. I’m worried they’re going to kidnap my trans ass or steal my ID paperwork if I get on anything more than local transit. When I’ve got things lined up to leave I’m getting on a bus to Canada then flying out from there to limit my exposure to US authorities

Same, but it’s likely going to get worse. Too many have no clue what’s actually happening, because they’re relying on the fourth estate to keep them informed, not realizing that it’s effectively been captured.
I still have hope for a bright future, and I hope we can go back to being good neighbors and good allies, but I’m under no illusions that it’s “just around the corner” if we believe hard enough.
