Summary

The home of impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has been fortified with barbed wire, buses, and security personnel as authorities prepare a second attempt to arrest him following his Dec. 3 martial law decree, which led to his impeachment.

Yoon’s supporters rallied outside, and his legal team insists investigators lack jurisdiction due to the residence’s sensitive military status.

Rumors of Yoon fleeing have been denied, though he vows to fight any “illegal investigation.”

Authorities are intensifying preparations for the renewed arrest effort.

Wow, saying the cops lack jurisdiction because you claim your residence as a military establishment is certainly… well, it’s a strategy.

Just surround the thing 24/7. They will run out of food eventually. Or just turn the power and water supply off, then it will only take a few days, maybe weeks if they have emergency rations.

Laying siege to the home of an ex president is very high up on my entertainment value list.

I vaguely remember them trying to pry Noriega out of a church after he lost power. I think playing heavy metal at super volume outside 24/7 eventually got him to leave, after all his bodyguards fucked off because they couldn’t take it anymore.

I also want to see some siege towers rolling in and some catapults for good measure😊
