I still don’t see him as a meaningful addiction to a contending team, both for age and personality - maybe to an underachieving pretender

PG has more miles left on the tires and can also be a #1 offense and defense guy on a playoff team as he showed just 2 years ago with probably the strongest showing of his career.

There is definitely a market for Jimmy though; someone who can get a bucket and isn’t afraid of any moment will always have a spot as a 5th/6th man on a playoff winning team, and I think yo be fair to Jimmy he’s more than only a 1-dimensional Jamal Crawford type.

Seems like you’re not up to date on the PG situation. PG has been struggling all season and Jimmy has been playing roughly to his standard with a slight volume downtick. Jimmy is only 8 months older, and they have almost the exact total games played and minutes played.

Jimmy even has more recent playoff success than PG. Jimmy took the Heat to the finals in 2023. PG wasn’t even in the playoffs 2 years ago, his last #1 option level of playoff run was almost 4 years ago in 2021 as a 31 year old.

So I’m not sure where you get this idea that PG has so much more left in the tank than Jimmy.
