I had my 2 years this year too. I just love the concept of the fediverse and I’ve started to dabble a bit with piefed recently and it always surprises me how interoperable it is with Lemmy.

So I guess that’s my favorite thing about Lemmy … Is that it’s part of the fediverse.

Also the interactions do feel a lot nicer than say Reddit.

Although to be fair, we were doing a good job of killing the planet before AI was on the rise.

I tried piefed.world … that doesn’t work either.

But .social, . zip and the others seem to be working so that’s good.

I think this makes most sense to me, given what the other commenter said. In case people are interested in that brand and want to join those communities that aren’t just Reddit mirrors.

That said, I’ve never even heard of this instance so I’m okay either way.

Ugh, this is such terrible news. What an awful turnaround for him and the fans. Going from the biggest game of his life to not playing basketball for another 18 months or so.
