I’m going to play all those games! Really! Some day.
What is that third representation of money? Paper bills, credit card and [???]. Is it a ring?
It’s a wallet
Thanks, now I feel silly for not recognizing it.
That’s a wallet containing 50€ notes
Thank you, don’t know how I didn’t recognize it.
GIVE IT TO ME! I NEED IT. I sold a good portion of my Steam inventory in preparation!
There is too much on the backlog for this bullshit
Let me know when Steam starts accepting the cartoon moths that fly out of my empty wallet.
You got some of them moths??
Actually, the moths cost extra.
Steam being a US-based company kinda put a damper on my willingness to shell out the moolah for games I might not even play …
GOG is my go to. Still have a huge steam library from before but my future purchases are going there.
…and which you don’t actually own.
TBH for me, between the sales and the Linux compatibility it’s still worth it even if I’m effectively renting the games.
What about the time they tried to implement paid mods with Bethesda?
They’ve tried, they’ve listened, they’ve not gone forward with the implementation, apologized and refunded and everyone else moved on.

Except they didn’t apologize and according to them adding paid mods was not a mistake, their mistake was starting with skyrim. I think it’s funny how enamoured people are with steam to the point of misremembering what really happened.
That’s not great, but it’s not ‘company thriving under a very literally fascist regime’-bad.
Jokes on you I have no money left and huge backlog!
But this indie game is only 50p and so is this one and this one and this one…
Oh nooooo just in time for me to go back to work. What a load of shit, lmao
Steam sale IS NOT A REAL SALE.
Consumers have associated the experience as a sale, but the last few steam sales I have only found very very niche stuff actually on sale, everything else isn’t really on sale it just has meaningless percents next to them.
Use SteamDB to check price histories. Steam Sales often present the lowest historical price on any game.
As in, there aren’t discounts? I only ever look st my wishlist during steam sales and I see plenty of discounts and I dont see the msrp having been raised or anything
Meh I don’t typically see pricecuts that are that meaningful, on isthereanydeal the steam sales often just don’t impress me in how they compare.
I don’t mean to rain on the parade, the deals aren’t bad and I love steam so shrugs
just because the things you want aren’t on sale… doesn’t mean the sale doesn’t exist
Lol wut
