      Created by a gay indigenous man in what appears to be a sincere effort to draw attention to our reliance on Saudi oil, and their human rights record towards the LGBTQ+ community.

      Misguided on multiple levels, imho, but not quite the hate or callousness you might expect behind it.

        The level of misguidedness I particularly care about is the one where he advocates for continuing to extract petroleum locally instead of for bicycles and zoning reform.

        Alberta (where the oil sands are located) is known as “Texas North” up here. There’s more than a few reasons why you don’t want to be there if you’re queer. Or trans. Or any skin color other white. Or a woman. Or…
