    The cost to workers whose jobs have changed drastically as companies scramble to meet customer expectations for speed and convenience in industries transformed by technology.

    I just quit a customer service job I worked for 8 years. Making people happy has become an impossible battle. I’ve had people tell me “that’s not my fucking problem” more times in my last month than I have in my entire career. So you know what?? It’s not my fucking problem either! I quit!
