I hope Eminem doesn’t get on that drama bs. Might as well watch Bill Gates and bezos have a cat fight in leather gear.

I kind of disagree. What are Drake and Lamar gonna do, go after one of the biggest names in rap? That really went well for MGK 😂

That said, he’d totally be debasing himself for the equivalent of a petty squabble so I also agree lol

Ugh not again, MGK songs are good until he starts singing. Rather not have another two kicked out of the rap scene invading my suggested songs.

Kendrick is one the greatest rappers of all time so if he really wanted to be could easily go toe to toe with Eminem. However, I don’t know why either of them would want to.

Damn they really came for you. Eminem himself has said multiple times that Kendrick is one of the best ever

This guy said something entirely uncontroversial about the only rapper to win a Pulizer prize for his skill in writing and he’s being downvoted to the underworld.

Something tells me a lot of Lemmy users either stopped listening to rap a decade ago or skew in a very particular demographic direction

I’m the former. I’ve never really been big on rap outside of a few artists as 99% of it I can’t relate to at all.

The few songs I can relate to and enjoy listening to I get made fun of for listening to by “og” rap lovers.

It sucks when people gatekeep like that. You can like what you like, even if it’s not the most critically acclaimed music

Why tf you getting downvoted like that, you’re not wrong, it’s not like you said he would demolish Eminem, and he definitely could go toe to toe with him. The man won a Pullitzer ffs

Not the guy you responded to… But I don’t hate Kendrick. I just think it’s weird how people watch these beefs like it’s American idol. If I was to pick a side it would be with Kendrick. But I really just think all this shit is stupid. It’s apples to oranges. Then again I don’t really listen to this type of music. I just don’t understand why, if someone is claiming to be a real hip-hop emcee, they would go against drake… Who is an entertainer.

Beef is lame. Beef is for when you have someone threatening your life, or freedom. Right? Idk anything other than that is just drama?

Tbf I’m ootl on all this. I don’t really listen to either… Although I think listened to DNA? A few times.

Well Drake is the biggest rapper right now and considered to be in the “Big 3” along with Kendrick so it’s not all that surprising Kendrick would diss him. Drake being a fake rapper only adds to that really.

I’m out of touch lol. I probably shouldn’t even chime in. I dipped out of radio music when the baking bling era started peaking.

(Not saying that to sound stuck up or hate on emcees… I’m Just very out of touch with that culture.)

Edit: shit… Saying radio music is even outdated.

So how the fuck do you go from what you said, to me riffing off it, to you mad at me agreeing with what you said!?!

Bro, I know jack shit about Eminem, other than base knowledge.

I do fucking love the recovery album because I have lived through that kind of shit.

I would tell you I’m sorry, but I can’t find a way that doesn’t sound like a cheap lie.

It’s a joke friend, no harm intended.
