I’m of the opinion that letting Trump think he’s “winning” while playing backdoor politics with friendly nations to defend Canada’s interests is not a bad approach. If they can make it to the American midterms, hopefully he’ll get hamstrung and become a lame duck president. Assuming he doesn’t find some archaic way of overriding them…

I will always argue that all mammals, if not broader categories, have cute recognition. I think it’s a fair play mechanism that evolved so that most species will cut other species’ young some slack in a brutal world, for the most part - with exceptions. I have no evidence for it, but I’ve seen enough animal interaction in my life to not feel completely unfounded either.
These cats are absolutely lethal. I hike a lot and have a legitimate fear of being stalked by one (happened to a friend, the only reason she saw it was cuz she stopped to tie her boot, she had no idea). The fact they behave like normal cats strikes me as odd cuz you don’t realize how scary a big fluffy kitty can actually be
I love the aesthetic of this. I also, luckily, eventually understood why it’s a bad idea. Not today, Satan!

Tall desk jockey, heavy walker. Not trying to diagnose, but I learned from experience that weak abdominal activation caused over compensation in the lower back to an extreme degree. Went from zero back pain, to plenty during covid, back to relatively little. Yoga, walking and lifting to improve core strength helped. Could it be something like that?
I wasn’t even alive in the seventies and I still calculate it as just before I was born
