    Answer to any headline that asks a question: no.

    Canadian law is so far behind that the federal government thinks a banning a toy is going to stop car theft and that IPs are as private as an SSN.

    Law should be permissive of the employee and restrictive of the employer by default. By nature the employer has the resources to come up with new, unregulated, ways to exploit people faster than the employee.

    Canadian laws and regulations only come into effect when people organize and fight for and advocate for change.

    They never happen when big corporations are asked to comply.

    So like every other situation before … surveillance will continue as long as a people are willing to put up with it.
