      It’s worth noting that My Lai massacre wasn’t an isolated incident, it was representative of what US did everywhere in Vietnam. The only difference was that My Lai actually got coverage.

    And scores and scores of millions of Iraqis got bombed just so they can steal the gold from them. Makes my blood boil.

      They’ve got a good point. At least the US has a media environment where reporters are digging around instead of being tamed lapdogs of the government. This would never have seen the light of day in Russia, let alone an admission by their armed forces. To people who are calling this a whataboutism, it’s worth pointing out that Russia was intimately involved in making Aleppo a bombed out wasteland. I assure you that they killed many civilians and will never hold themselves accountable.

          I would say the atrocities covered by Western media of China/Russia should be alot worse than the atrocities leaked regarding western atrocities. Sure whataboutism and all but life isn’t black and white. You pick the best option there is, chauvinism is fucking over decent morals.
