I would like to know how many user see my posts or downloaded my medias and any other info. I think it’s a crucial point for content creators.

Posts are replicated across any instances that are federating (think “following”) your host instance so the metrics you seek are not possible without data from each server in the federation which could be ~40 servers currently. Its only a crucial point for sponsored content creators I think.

In terms of stats about the size/activity of the fediverse I think the most informative source currently is lemmymap here I’m very grateful for the insight it provides, but I suppose its far short of what you want.

Edit: some more graphical stats are available here

for this very good effortpost I will award you 1 of my lemmy bucks! Proof will be edited, once the transaction is complete.

Edit: https://feddit.de/post/154711 the transaction has been written in stone on the immutable sub (as long as the mods keep their hands off it)

weird it links back to this page, but the actual text in my post is as you have written.

How does it look if you click the dots/menu for my post then click, view source?

Oh, I see the culprit. Consider the following.

          You have here:

          [here](lemmymap.feddit.de/)

          but you want here:

          [here](https://lemmymap.feddit.de/)

Without the https, the text parser handles the link as a local link related to the website itself (In Markdown, you can link – redirect – to other files in the filesystem. Websites supporting Markdown often reimplement this behaviour, as seen here.). I should have checked the source first before posting myself. I have already seen a few posts with this issue.

I suspect sponsorship on the fediverse is going to be better measured through something at the point of conversion rather than user surveillance. Promo codes instead of impressions.

Well maybe I don’t want to use software that reports to the creators if I saw their posts or not.

    Is it?

What is the motivation of these ‘content creators’ that you are thinking of to have these metrics? How do those impact your decisions?

I create content but I’m guessing it’s a euphemism for people making media commercially.
