Yeah and that is why I can no longer trust them
I feel you, but Audacity is still the top free audio editor. Perhaps a fork is in order?
Hopefully development will settle on one soon.
We (as in the FLOSS community) did this with LibreOffice and MariaDB, we can do it again!
