I do not really have a body for this. I was not aware that this is a thing and still feel like this is bs, but maybe there is an actual explanation for HDMI Forum’s decision that I am missing.

    There no top spec TV’s with DP or DP over type-c. It’s that simple.

    Don’t like it? Your problem. Wanna vote with your wallet in favor of DP? You can’t. And all that controversy aside, unified standard isn’t that bad, it’s amazing from user perspective tbh. Most of hardware can work fine with it, the only outsider right now is a linux amd driver, specifically due to RDNA architecture as I understand it.
