The best thing for my neck has been using a standing desk. Slouching is really bad for the neck muscles while using a computer. Harder to slouch while standing.
How practical is this?
Not at all. Static sitting is poison.
Actually you shouldn’t sit statically at all. You can slouch, stand, sit straight but everything not longer than 1-2 hours max. You should at least put in a pause then, get up, exercise or walk for 10-15min and get back. A walking pad is also quite good but you shouldn’t use it 100% of the time either.
