I don’t know why Helix chose the word private, even though Tribler is in beta and you shouldn’t rely on it if you life depends on it, the true goal is to be anonymous.

Similar to rutracker, rutor or bakabt. They’re public but you need to sign up to access the torrent files and magnet links.
