The War On Drugs is mostly a racist political policy from Nixon to prevent minorities and hippies voting.

Alcohol is hard to control and too closely tied to many social occasions.

best part of the war on drugs is when Reagan switched sides for a bit.

also, I would like to congratulate drugs for winning the war on drugs.

I remember my worst night with alcohol, i could barely WALK my bycicle home. Remember thinking “how can someone get behind a 1 ton vechile in THIS state”.

Yeah. Alcohol is dangerous, yet its regulated because $$$.

Well, also because prohibition was an abject failure.

One could easily argue that the prohibition of drugs has been an object failure as well, there’s just been $$$$ in keeping it illegal (along with racist reasons). Thankfully some states are seeing the $$$ of regulation, but the party of small overreaching government doesn’t like that and fights it tooth and nail in a lot of places. Wonder why?

Mixing the dipping sauces is a mood. Last time I was high with chicken nuggets, I mixed BBQ, ranch, honey mustard, chick-fil-a sauce, and Japanese mayonnaise. It was sooooo good.

The mayo+bbq combo is just what you put on a Japanese Okonomiyaki - a staple of post-driking late-night fare. The rest just sounds like extra seasoning. You’re in good company.

In the US we tried making alcohol the banned one. It didn’t go so well.

(Banning the others hasn’t gone great, either)

Last couple of times I get very drunk I’ve tried to either do self harm or kill myself, so I no longer drink more than 2 beers.

Well it’s because alcohol is the worst one.

Because when you try to take booze away from a drunk, they’ll literally murder you to get it back.

Whereas weeders will just walk away and light another one, or be like “totally, you need it more than I do”.

Alcohol causes aggression, unlike pretty much any other substance.

Remember “the Prohibition”? As in that thing that has an actual era named after it? People tried banning alcohol as well. But banning substances doesn’t work, as evidenced by all of human history. That’s why there was extremely high crime rates and gangsters ruled.

But since other substances don’t make you as crazy, the people using them illegally aren’t as noticeable as drunks.

Everyone knows how common weed and cocaine are. Yet they’re still illegal, because they don’t cause as many problems as alcohol does when it’s banned.
