Surely this is an pointless exercise? A leader who lost their own seat beibg parachuted into another seat will just be attacked constantly. “Couldn’t even win their own seat” will be the constant riposte, and his own authority in his own party will be severely undermined.

And if its anything like UK politics, voters dont like being taken for granted and asked to vote for candidates who don’t even live in the constituency. I doubt even his own party’s voters will be delighted as this.

Seemed pretty stoppable to me.

The Conservatives are acting a tiny bit more rationally, now that we got Poilievre to shut up for a bit.

Good time for PP’s opponents right left and centre to campaign against him. A by-election might be easier to defy expectations.

Now that was funny. It may take them like 3 months to make it happen even if Carney calls it at the earliest chance.

We’re still wasting hundreds of thousands or even millions on this useless election (that riding is the biggest geographically in the country), but at least the whole situation got a chuckle out of me.
