The endlessly quoted 1975 comedy remains both a clear product of its era and a timelessly funny masterwork

Listen. Strange news media lying in websites distributing accolades is no basis for a system of recognition. Supreme executive praise derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical internet ceremony.

You can’t expect to wield supreme executive praise just ’cause some tarty news website threw admiration at you!

It’s not really on all the streaming services. I hope that changes. Classic movie!

    Till the ending anyways…

One of the best movies ever made, tainted by the single stupidest ending. Such a shame.

I quite liked the ending, and thought it was a hilarious way to finish it. Maybe I’m alone, however I honestly did like that as it seemed typical of a Monty Python thing.

I can’t even watch it now. I’ve seen the movie countless times, haven’t watched the ending in probably 20 years. It’s just straight up better if you cut it off like the sopranos lol

the ending is a great joke (a literal cop out) but I agree it isn’t all that fun to watch. it (purposely) is very anticlimactic. even with all the shenanigans going on thru the movie, it still has the main plot of Arthur finding the Grail, and people want resolution to that. it’s part of our storytelling DNA.

What you on about, the ending is great? It’s dumb sure. But it perfectly suits the film and Monty python in general in my opinion
