I love hockey, but fuck, it’s become such a corporate money making machine that I completely lost interest in the NHL.
Instead I go watch the Victoire de Montréal, with the women’s professional hockey league. It’s democratizing hockey again with affordable ticket prices and seats where you can actually see the fucking puck. Honestly, I haven’t had this much fun watching a hockey game ever.
I have to get out to a PWHL game. My neighbour here in Brockville just bought season seats for the Victoire for the same reasons you mention, i.e great hockey at affordable prices, and I’m all for it.
If only there was some other way to see the game without traveling to a hostile country, maybe even from the comfort of your own home.
