Concerns are mounting as the number of measles cases in Canada continues to rise. In Quebec, the current outbreak has grown to 31 cases. Pediatric infectious diseases expert at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, Dr. Earl Rubin, joins Global News Morning’s host Laura Casella with more.

The warning applies to people who were at the Canadiens-Sabres game between 5:30 p.m. and midnight, in red sections 111 to 117, as well as employees of Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza stands at the Bell Centre.

“Measles contacts who are not protected against this disease are recommended to isolate themselves at home until March 17 inclusive,” public health said in a statement on Monday.

I understand the sentiment, but you can still catch the disease if you’re vaccinated and be contagious. And if you haven’t been vaccinated, then you’re the one in trouble, not those who did take the vaccine.

No I think if you get hospitalized due to complications when not vaccinated, then you should pay a potion of the health bill. Incentivize people to take the goddamn vaccines.

If you were vaccinated you weren’t unprotected.
