Yeah, I think there’s a problem with federation on this instance. I’ve created accounts on pixelfed.social and others and I can’t see anything from my pixelfed.ca account. No profile pic, no posts, nothing. And my account isn’t discoverable from mstdn.ca either.
I think the admins did something wrong with their configs…

Yeah, something’s definitelay fucky. I can’t even find any pixelfed.ca accounts on mastodon. That shouldn’t happen. We should be able to find the accounts, see their posts and evn subscribe and comment from any other platforms. It seems to work fine on Pixelfed.social and PXLFD.ca
i was able to find shadow’s pixelfed.ca account on mstdn.ca, albeit very slowly (although their site just seems slow in general when i was checking). i just searched for @shadow@pixelfed.ca.
i also noticed this in the Dev Tools. not sure if it actually means anything though. will check with chad at mstdn.ca to make sure it’s not suspended.
I tried following myself from mastodon and then making a pixelfed post, and it showed up immediately on mastodon. I think this is just the way AP works, it only pulls if someone is subscribed. It’s not ideal though.
