Reminder: You actually can text 911! If you’re ever in a situation where you need to be absolutely quiet (e.g. home invasion, active shooter) set your phone to silent, dim the screen as much as possible, and text 911.

This is the opposite of me. I’d much rather call because people misunderstand my texts all the time.
