I’d love to see Dominion or anyone else bankrupt these weasels and the entire organization with lawsuits

Dominion will probably be happy to settle like last time. Don’t count on them making a dent in any of these “news” organizations.

If you see a guy walk into a building with a can of gasoline, a bunch of matches, and a blow torch, and leave with none of them, and the building is on fire, and the guy stands around and smirks and doesn’t call the fire department, and runs from the police, and says, “Some brave awesome totally ripped dude with a huge cock burned that building down!”

While you may not have any evidence, it’s pretty reasonable to make an inference.

It’s been all but confirmed that firing Carlson was part of the settlement with Dominion.

Not really, they took a big payout and Fox is doing fine. Very disappointing outcome tbh.

Edit: Downvoters, lying to yourself doesn’t change the reality that Tucker and Fox are largely unaffected by this. Tucker can still spew lies all over the internet and Fox barely noticed a drop in profit for the year. I don’t understand why we’re suddenly okay with large corporations only getting a slap on the wrist.

Were you expecting a single lawsuit to destroy the company? Has that ever happened?

Of course not, that’s ridiculous and you know it.

This case could’ve easily been used to challenge the previous finding that they had no obligation to tell the truth as an entertainment company, but Dominion chose money instead. If you’re happy with them getting a slap on the wrist as opposed to a real chance of forcing a change in operations at Fox then that’s on you. I choose to see the reality in that Dominion chose greed over doing something meaningful in court when they had a rock solid case.

You think almost $800 million is a slap on the wrist?

Yeah Dominion should have turned the largest ever defamation settlement on principle. Makes complete sense.

Comparing that to Fox’s profits? Yes, yes I do think that’s a slap on the wrist compared to the greater implications this could’ve had on the media landscape.

He’s really not though, he’s just on another platform doing the same thing. He’s not actually suffering any consequences for his actions and the person taking his spot isn’t any better.

He’s got a fraction of the reach than he used to and Fox still needs to pay out that crazy contract. Big Ls all around imo.

It’s barely even a dent in their yearly profit margin. Fox doesn’t give a shit about this, they can still keep doing what they’ve been doing without any real consequence.
