“Get an application and drop it off (at) one of these companies and start working, you need to start working if you’re healthy — bottom line — if you’re unhealthy, I’ll take care of you the rest of my life, your life, we’ll take care of you,” the premier said.
“But if you’re healthy, get off your A-S-S and start working like everyone else is.”
Buddy just can’t connect the dots that minimum wage doesn’t cover housing anymore, that he’s been holding it down for years, that he weakened rent control that kept low income people housed, and that he’s been letting his buddies build just detached houses and luxury condos.
It’s just so dumb, and even dumber considering that he literally has the magic wand and to drastically improve things. Just a significant enough hike of the minimum wage would automatically put a damper on more people ending up on the street, overnight.
It is not that he doesn’t get it, it is that he doesn’t care.
I honestly don’t see why he would care either because he has no reason to care. No matter what he does, he keeps getting elected. He probably feels more bullet proof than Superman right now, which is likely why he is running his mouth far more than usual.
As long as he is Premier, the same old song and dance is going to keep happening.
He can connect them just fine. He just doesn’t care. He’s a cruel man, not a stupid one.
He can be cruel AND stupid.

Entirely possible, but I’m not convinced yet. I’m still with Hanlon’s razor on this one.
I wouldn’t. Weaponized incompetence to this extent isn’t something I give the benefit of the doubt for.
