One time I posted a meme on a Blahaj community I moderated where someone named [email protected] was being transphobic. Ada, the instance owner, private messaged me to say I needed to redact the username or my post would be removed. She said Obvious_Troll is a real, trans Lemmy user and I’m not to attack them. There is no user called Obvious_Troll, I made that username up for the meme. Ada defended a fictional transphobic troll because they were from Hexbear.
I think Ada is afraid of ever hurting a trans person, like by excluding them from their community, even though their job is to moderate users on the trans instance.
I told this story on [email protected] yesterday and within 15 minutes Ada showed up, saying that Obvious_Troll is real and I’m a transphobe for calling them a troll
I’m just going to blame old person brain, but it’s telling that it’s the second time they’ve confused the same fiction for real. Ada, please read a little slower before being wrong the same way again 😭

Lemmy has a serious admin problem.
