The federal government should fine the corporate grocers 100s of millions to pay for that.

What an absolute @#$%ing embarrassment. I’d like to see actual regulation of the industry not see our government give handouts to a lets-pretend-to-self-regulatate PR ploy

After dealing with the joke that is the CCTS I agree with you.

Thank you for fighting the good fight, Beaver. On bad (pessimistic) days, our government seems like a firewall, preventing the needs and wishes of everyday people from encroaching on corporate wealth multiplication

Why is this code industry led, and not a mandate? Consult with them, sure, but at the end of the day it should be government saying here are the targets, here is how you meet them.

Hell, require that they have permits like mines do.

The wolves shall guard the sheep - and the sheep shall pay for their guarding. What a bad joke.

So, just like in the insurance racket, the food industry watchdog will be a coven of soon-to-be-rehired ex-lobbists for that same industry. And once again taxpayers will foot the bill for unnecessary oversight by lapdogs of the oligarchies.

    Cue PUKING now.
